What are the Eligibility criteria for the NDA Exam?

Age limit

  • For NDA1, aspirants must be born on or after July 2, 2002, and not later than July 1, 2005.
  • For NDA 2, aspirants must have been born not earlier than January 2, 2003, and not later than January 1, 2006.

Qualifications

  • Aspirants should qualify 10+2 with the PCM group.
  • Students pursuing 12th are allowed to apply for the exam.
  • However, students of 11th std are not eligible to apply for the exam.

Marital status

Aspirants who are unmarried are eligible for the exam. They are not permitted to get married until they don’t accomplish the training.

Physical standards

  • Aspirants should be physically fit to be eligible according to the NDA exams norms.
  • The minimum height required is 157 cms and for the Air force, 162.5 cms are required.
  • Candidates should have distance vision of 6/6 in the better eye and 6/9 in the worse eye.
  • Myopia should not exceed more than 2.5D and Hypermetropia not more than 3.5D involving astigmatism.
  • For the Air force, aspirants should not have spectacles.
  • Permanent tattoos are not allowed on the outer side of the arms and wrists of the body.

What is the paper pattern for the NDA Exam?

National Defence Academy (NDA) is one of the toughest competitive exams. To get selected, aspirants have to qualify for the two stages of the NDA exam; the Written exam and SSB Interview. It is mandatory for aspirants to pass the written exam of NDA, to get summoned for the SSB interview. The NDA exam is administered to test the Mathematics and General ability (There are subjects like Physics, Chemistry, History, Geography, General Science, Current Events under General Ability).
